Rainbow Power

Did you know colors can shift and influence our emotions? They indeed bring the body into balance by removing blocks and healing physical pain!

Whether you need cooling work or more warming tones, color therapy is like your personal photo edit tool.

Color therapy is also known as chromotherapy. Each color has varying wavelengths that have a unique effect on the body.

How to use the Power of Rainbows

It’s up to you how you use color therapy and can’t do it wrong.

Just surround yourself with the color you want to use.

  • wear the color
  • eat or drink the color
  • make your bedding that color
  • change your curtains to that color
  • hang up a tapestry or a picture of that color
  • paint a room or accent wall that color
  • use that color for an altar cloth or in your sacred space
  • use that color light bulb in a lamp and soak in it

Facts About Rainbows

There are seven traditionally recognized colors of the rainbow. They are red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet. This happens because light colors bend differently when they pass through water droplets. Red bends the least and violet the most.

These colors appear in a specific order from the outer edge to the inner edge. This spreading of colors creates a beautiful rainbow in the sky when conditions are right.

We see rainbows as semicircles, but they are full circles. We only see the top half because the bottom part is blocked by the horizon or the ground. If you’re high above the ground you can see the full circular rainbow.

Sometimes you can notice a fainter, double rainbow above the main one. This secondary rainbow occurs when light reflects twice inside a raindrop. The colors of the secondary rainbow are reversed, with red on the bottom and violet on the top.

This optical phenomenon occurs because the secondary rainbow is produced by a different, more complex light path.
